Pacific Coast Fresh Company is a local, family-owned produce distributor that has proudly served our Pacific Northwest retail, wholesale and food service customers since 1977. We are now one of the largest independent produce distributors in the Northwest with distribution centers in Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. In 2023, we welcomed King Harvest Hummus, a leading northwest producer of fresh hummus, to the PCF family.

We are currently seeking an experienced culinary professional to manage our hummus production process. The Production Manager is responsible for implementing and monitoring systems required to meet safety, production, and quality targets, and plays a key role in ensuring the viability, success, and profitability of the King Harvest brand.
What you'll do...
- Leverage culinary expertise in collaboration with Customer Experience and Production departments to produce the highest quality product on the market
- Master and manage the intricate details of the product’s artisan qualities
- Adhere to finished product and processing specs, ensuring consistency in product flavor, texture, and appearance
- Train KH team on new and existing processes and procedures, including food handling, quality. and safety requirements
- Manage and coach employees, evaluate the work of team members, and make staffing recommendations
- Assess workload, assign, prioritize, delegate, and guide team through daily production activities
- Record and analyze data and provide production reports
- Collaborate with marketing on brand, packaging, and presentation of new product ideas
What we look for...
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s or culinary degree preferred)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in food operations (restaurant, commercial kitchen, food processing) including at least 1 year in a supervisory/management role
- Understanding of ingredients, temperature, and food processing, and their effects on final product
- Understanding of commercial kitchens and operational problem solving
- Familiarity with diverse flavor profiles
- Passion for culinary success
- Team-oriented, with the ability to look at what’s best for the company when making decisions
- A high level of safety awareness and clear understanding of equipment safety
- Strong computer skills, preferably including Excel and Warehouse Management Systems

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
