What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Machine Operator position at PACIFIC SOUTHWEST CONTAINER, LLC?
We have openings for Machine Operators.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the machine
- Responsible for product conformity
- Verifies tooling readiness
- Performs external make ready
- Inputs production information
- Performs and oversees make ready functions
- Performs set up verification checklist
- Performs and oversees preventative maintenance responsibilities of operating personnel
- Performs and oversees sampling plan in accordance to requirements
- Participate in feeding and off bearing as required
- Communicate needs, obstacles, and direction to those who need the information
Qualifications that are required for this job include:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be knowledgeable in all normal box plant skills including but not limited to reading hard cards, accurate production reporting, reading and using tape measure, use of calipers and micrometers.
- Must be able to lead crew in all aspects of work center operations.
- Must possess basic computer skills, have the ability to perform mathematical problems relative to job functions, and possess problem solving skills.
- One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Specific visual abilities, including the ability to differentiate between and among various shades on the color spectrum, may be required based on the department/machine assignment.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.

*Vacant positions are mostly on 2nd Shift (3pm-11pm) or 3rd Shift (11pm-7am), however there may be few if any available positions on 1st Shift (7am-3pm).
