Job Summary

Support and manage quality assurance programs. Responsible for creation and maintenance of Food Safety, Food

Defense, Vendor Management, and GFSI based SQF program. Maintain and continuously improve Quality

Standards. Keep abreast of current regulatory activities and update necessary documents and procedures

accordingly. Back-up to Technical Manager in his absence pertaining to Quality Assurance Food Safety

programs(SQF).

Major Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring cGMP, HACCP, SSOP, SQF, Allergen, Glass, Environmental Monitoring, Mock Recall

    Exercises, and Food Defense programs.

  • Coordinate internal cGMP-based audits. Conduct Environmental Swabbing and evaluate gathered data for trends. ATP

    Swabbing to monitor GMP Zones.

  • Maintain technical documents for their accuracy based on current regulations and departmental procedures. Assist in

    maintaining: Organic Certification with QAI, Vendor Management Program, certifications for laboratory equipment per

    scheduled renewal dates.

  • Conduct Food Safety trainings as scheduled and as needed.

  • In the absence of the Quality Assurance, the Technical Manager will act as its back-up.

  • Conforms to Food Safety Culture

Preferred Experience and Education

  • B.S. in Food Science/Chemistry or related field. Knowledge in Food Science, cGMP, SSOP, HACCP, and FDA and NOP

    regulations. Requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent organization skills and effective problem solving.

  • Knowledge in Food Science, cGMP, SSOP, HACCP, and FDA and NOP regulations. Accredited HCCP training by the International HACCP Alliance. Requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent organization skills and effective problem solving. FSPCA certificates (or equivalent) for PCHF and FSVP regulations.
