Troll is searching for a Quality Bench Technician, who’s ready to fine-tune their career. At Troll Systems you’ll be testing and tuning to make sure they meet specification.

RESPONSIBILITIES and EXPECTATIONS

In the first three months, a successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated the ability to successfully use all test equipment, including DVMs, oscilloscopes, noise-figure meters, spectrum analyzers and vector network analyzers, without damaging test equipment or products in the process
  • Proven the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot printed circuit board assemblies to the component level
  • Demonstrated the understanding of the documentation and revision system, i.e. work orders, ECR/ECNs, work instructions and ATPs
  • Developed a working knowledge of various electronic and microwage assemblies, such as block down converters, antennas and switching power supples
  • Demonstrated above average abilities as a self-starter and a high degree of self-motivation.

In the first six months, a successful candidate will have:

  • Developed a working knowledge of Troll's current line of RF power amplifiers to be able to assist in testing, tuning and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated the ability to successfully use microwave and RF test equipment includeing RF power meters, microwave signal generators and vector signal analyzers
  • Demonstrated the ability to test, tune and troubleshoot Troll's current line of other RF components and electronic assemblies (including printed circuit boards), such as block down converters, antennas, power supply boards, serial, Ethernet and 12C, communication and distribution boards and servo control boards

In the first twelve months, a successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated an understanding of measuring power amplifier characteristics, including output power, DC power consumption, spectral content and gain of Troll's current line of power amplifiers
  • Demonstrated the ability to assist Systems Engineering with testing, tuning and troubleshooting Troll's products, antennas and microwave radios, etc.
