The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all outbound freight operations to ensure materials are loaded safely, accurately, and efficiently, while also managing staffing, scheduling, and workflow to meet operational demands. This leadership role includes enforcing safety protocols, supporting training and employee development, handling performance evaluations and personnel matters, and collaborating across teams to maintain high standards in warehouse operations and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assist in the accurate, timely, and safe loading of outbound freight to ensure secure transport and ease of unloading.
- Plan work schedules, assign duties, and adjust staffing to meet workload demands and operational efficiency.
- Monitor receiving, transfers, and returns to ensure accuracy and speed in inbound and outbound processes.
- Enforce safety standards and housekeeping practices, while continuously seeking improvements across the facility.
- Supervise, train, and support employees, including performance evaluations, coaching, and participation in hiring and onboarding.
- Conduct staff meetings, maintain records, inspect equipment, and address personnel concerns to ensure a productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- 1 plus years of experience in management
Requirements:
- Satisfactory criminal history check
- Satisfactory result on a pre-employment drug screening
