At Palmetto , we move multi-million dollar yachts!
Our tech team is responsible for the maintenance of our impressive fleet.
Our Fleet consist of:
2021-2023 Ram 5500's and Late model custom boat trailers.
Our trucks are always less than two years old to minimize major maintenance requirements.
WE ARE NOT OLD SCHOOL! We do not use paper! Use of iPads and other smart devices is imperative!
We use the latest in Fleet Management software systems to provide transparency from the Drivers to Technicians to Senior Management.
Our standard is PERFECTION! Anything less is unacceptable!
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Trailer Brake System Repair: 1 year (Preferred)
- Trailer Electrical Lighting Repair (Basic 7 Pin) : 1 year (Preferred)
- Trailer Suspension Repair: 1 year (Preferred)
- Truck Oil/Filter/ Routine Maintenance : 1 year (Preferred)
- Basic OBD 2 Diagnosis
- Competency with Fleetio Maintenance Software
Starting rate is based on experience and skill level
This job is at our Manning, SC facility.
MUST BE LIVING IN THE AREA
We prefer technicians currently living within commuting distance of Manning, SC.
Skill Based Pay Rate Reviews Every 6 Months until you reach top pay for your skill level.
Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of auto / trailer MECHANICAL repair experience.

Job Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- Able to pass all pre-employment screens
- Be authorized to work in the United States
- High School Diploma, GED or higher
Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:
- The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a trailer.
- Oil change / Fuel filter change
- Suspension repair
- Basic routine maintenance
Physical Demands:
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- 10 burpees physical test on site visit

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- ASE certified preferred
- 3 years minimum automotive mechanical experience
