Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, federal and state regulations, facility policies, and prudent nursing judgment.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the delivery of a resident’s plan of care according to physician’s orders, rules, and regulations.
• Utilize and follow facility policies and procedures that govern day-to-day nursing functions.
• Comply with facility and patient privacy policies to ensure confidentiality.
• Provide prompt emergency support measures, including CPR, when needed.
• Assist with developing daily work and unit assignments and collaborate with nursing supervisory staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Ensure that all nursing service personnel meet nursing standards while performing their work assignments.
• Ensure proper security by logging off unattended computer workstations.
• Oversee nurse aides and work closely with staff to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and systems.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State.

• An Associate Degree in Nursing is required

• 2 years’ experience in Long-Term Care experience preferred

• Six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred

• Strong utilization knowledge of Point Click Care preferred

• Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrate leadership, organizational skills, ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude, and attention to details
