JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Special requirements: Ability to program, setup and operate CNC equipment and other specialty manual equipment such as lathes, mechanical presses, hydraulic presses, shears, etc.
* Ability to read and interpret blue prints
* Capable of proficiency on all types of equipment and setup of equipment used in work cell within 60 days of hire; Function as lead if multiple person requirement
* Proficient in all aspects of inspection gages for the area after training period end and ability to train other employees
* Maintain a safe workplace for self and fellow team members via compliance of safety policies and procedures
* Produce product in timely manner while following all Quality system requirements
* Strong verbal and written communication
* Forklift certification capable
* Proficient in all aspects of paperwork for the area within 30 days.
* Ability to train team members
* Ability to lead Lean events and high performnace teams as required; ability to train team on Lean methodology
* Participate in 5S activities per Manager request
* Troubleshoot problems as they arise; Strong problem solving skills
* Must be able to work and thrive in Team environment.
* Must be able to work overtime when required including weekends.
* Other assignments as assigned by Management.
MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:
* Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
* Vision: 20/25 vsiosn corrected or uncorrected
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing environment
* Communication: For safety and quality, must be able to read, write & understand English
* Mechanical Aptitude: High
* Strong Math skills - three digit addition and subtraction, multiple digit multiplication and division. Converting fractions to decimals. Ability to follow formulas for conversions (ex: SF to LF).
* Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
