What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outpatient PTA position at Parkview Health?
Qualifications:
- Must have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain a PTA license in the state where services will be provided within 90 days of employment.
- CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- All certifications and licensure must be maintained according to their expiration dates.
Preferences:
- Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is preferred.
- Work experience is preferred but not required, aside from clinical experience gained during educational training.
Additional Requirements:
- If driving a company vehicle, a valid driver’s license is required. For personal vehicle use, proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license are also required.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with lifting 100 pounds, and may need to push up to 300 pounds.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Must be willing to work at other locations as assigned.
