What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant position at Parkway Veterinary Hospital?
We are looking to add a veterinary assistant to join our team at Parkway Veterinary Hospital! We are a full-service veterinary hospital servicing mostly dogs and cats in the Folsom area.
Qualifications:
Must have min 1 year experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Enjoys working with animals
Can stay calm and efficent during busy hours.
Has good communication skills
Responsibilities:
Be able to answer the client's questions over the phone/ in person regarding the
preventive care medications.
To prepare the exam rooms for clients and patients.
Must be able to work both front desk and also treatment area when in need.
Must be able to present the estimates to the clients and explain them.
Keep the hospital clean by the end of the day or when needed.
Must be able to place i/v catheters.
