Summary/Objective:
Deliver product/material promptly between our three locations. Represent our company in a professional manner aiming at increasing profitability.
Critical Duties:
- Operate company delivery vehicle.
- Deliver product/material promptly throughout route.
- Follow route and time schedule.
- Inspect the loads and the trailers to ensure material is loaded correctly.
- Complete logs and reports.
- Report concerns with the load to the shops (not loaded properly or unsafely).
- If there are problems with the trailer such as lights, tires, landing gears, etc., driver must bring it to the attention of the Transportation Coordinator before pulling it.
- Chains and/or strap the material securely to the trailer before delivering to the destination.
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Loading packaged shipments onto shipping trucks
- Bundling packages prior to loading
- Operating hand trucks for loading of individual packages
- Unloading incoming shipments from shipping trucks and transporting to warehouses
- Logging inventory
- Recording changes to scheduled shipments

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and/or prior commercial truck driving experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Continual improvement – Must continually be growing one’s craft learning new tools and techniques to manage one’s self.
- Must be familiar with construction site conditions and safety requirements.
- Must be able to use communication devices such as two-way radios and onboard computers to communicate with dispatchers and other haul truck drivers.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Valid/current Class A CDL.
- Current OSHA certifications preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A.

This job operates in a non-climate-controlled production/manufacturing/logistics environment (operating a commercial motor vehicle). This role may use hand tools.
