What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Documentation Specialist position at Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of South Central Wisconsin?
Reports To: Estimating and Compliance Manager
Summary: The Field Documentation Specialist interacts with property owners (customers) and supports estimators and project managers by gathering documentation in the field used to build estimates and help manage Company risk. The company is looking for either two part-time employees or one full-time employee to fill this role. The full-time employee would be eligible for health benefits including medical, vision and dental.
What is the Field Documentation Specialist responsible for?
· Work closely with Paul Davis Team members to provide timely and critical estimating support documentation
· Collect and collate before and after virtual images of projects using Matterport and drone technology
· Generate floor plans using Xactimate software
· Gather flooring samples from homes/businesses and submit to ITEL
· Capture roofing and siding information using Beacon
· Complete lead testing analyses and collect asbestos samples
· Compose pre-existing condition reports used to manage Company risk
· Upload all documentation to Company’s job management software (RMS)
· Maintain equipment and Matterport/Beacon databases
· Gather before and after photographs as well as time lapse media of completed projects for customer assurance, marketing, and social media
· Note customer contacts, questions, and concerns
· Stay current on new technologies, equipment, and processes for documenting property damage
· Distribute documentation gathered with a high sense of urgency
What are we looking for?
· Adept with technology, Microsoft Office, software applications, and social media
· Efficient ability to learn and operate industry related software (Xactimate/RMS/Beacon/Matterport/)
· On time, present, and personable
· Dedication to customer service and taking care of others
· Demonstrated high degree of urgency
· Able to self-prioritize and effectively manage own time
· Ability to adapt to changing schedules based on multitude of incoming projects
· Camera/lighting/drone experience is a plus
· Willingness to safely work in precarious jobsites damaged by fire, water, mold, wind, etc.
· Insurable driver’s license
· Ability to consistently lift 25 pounds
