Position Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned residential solar data expert who is excited to help us explore data acquisition opportunities. As our Data Acquisition Consultant, you will take the lead in developing relationships with commercial partners that enable Pearl to obtain data necessary to increase the accuracy of the Pearl SCORE and our energy models, such that these models maintain their position as the best-in-class home performance models in the world.

As the Data Acquisition Consultant, you will:

• Assess universe of residential solar firms, including installers, finance companies, and software providers, to identify opportunities for acquisition of data about:
• • Solar installations
  • Home characteristics
  • Utility bills
• Using industry knowledge and connections, develop comprehensive strategy for engaging solar firms to acquire the most amount of data at least cost / for most revenue;
• Support development of commercial strategy for paying for / pricing solar data;
• Lead engagement (sales) efforts with solar firms to obtain data;
• Meet with executive team and appropriate staff to understand Pearl’s diverse product offering to properly inform external discussion;
• Develop approaches, solutions, and recommendations that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities related to solar data acquisition
• • Produce and explain key insights and findings in a comprehensive and detailed manner
  • Provide advice or suggestions based on market feedback
  • Formulate plans to implement recommendations and overcome objections from potential partners

What we’re looking for:

• At least ten years experience in residential solar field
• Strong relationships with executive teams at residential solar firms
• Ability to understand value prop for residential firms and develop GTM strategy that positions Pearl’s products to meet their needs
• Strong sales / relationship building skills that can influence key decision-makers
• Ability to quickly learn and understand Pearl’s products, services, and value propositions
• A confident networker and communicator who is passionate about Pearl’s mission
• A strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Experience and comfort working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
• Authorization to legally work in the U.S.

Compensation and Duration:

• Market rates will be based on experience and local conditions, in the anticipated range of $125 to $150 per hour. However, we are open to candidates guiding the conversation surrounding consulting rates. We want to ensure we are able to capture the most suitable candidate to lead this strategic opportunity for Pearl.
• We anticipate utilizing 10-20 hours per week for the duration of one full quarter, with the possibility to extend the terms as business needs dictate.
• Pearl is a completely remote company - Candidates can be located anywhere in the United States.
