Job Summary:
The General Accounting Clerk is an integral part of the Accounting department. This position is responsible for performing day to day data entry, reconciliation, and other accounting functions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Enter appropriate data from various source documents into other documents, spreadsheets, or database systems.
- Audit, reconcile, and research cash over/short.
- Assist with internal inquiries regarding cash over/short from other departments.
- Process daily cash drops, create reports, and post cash entries.
- Assist with internal inquiries regarding checks that cleared recently.
- Assist with reconciling special event revenue and expenses.
- Participate in monthly close process of bank account reconciliations, cash variances, and other journal entries.
- Assist with the department’s involvement in the AT&T Pro-Am and Concours d’Elegance.
- Comply with the Pebble Beach safety and health policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Absolutely Required Skills:
- Basic Accounting knowledge.
- Strong computer skills, and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and effectively complete deadlines.
- Ability to focus on process improvement.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Great Plains preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with some college level accounting preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for long periods of time. Repetitive hand use.
