Overview
The Clinic Assistant will be responsible for greeting and escorting patients, in the physician outpatient practice according to established policies and procedures. The Clinic Assistant will communicate/collaborate with physicians and staff to provide coordinated, safe and compassionate care for patients.
Job Description
• Performs general patient coordination responsibilities including checking schedules and organizing patient flow; relaying instructions to patients/families; answering calls, checking voicemails and providing pertinent information.
• Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned cleaning exam /procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits; ordering, sorting, storing supplies; restocking exam/procedures rooms.
Minimum Qualifications Required
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook).
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external departmental contacts.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• All employees must pass an employment TB, drug and physical exam.
Desired Qualifications
• At least one (1) years of experience in a medical group practice or similar industry or equivalent in education
• Proficient in English and Spanish, verbal and written communication skills.
