What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at PENN ENGINEERING?
Basic Purpose and Objective
- The Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling hydraulics and mechanical components for installation into industrial machinery accurately to the print specifications and with a high level of workmanship. The technician will also execute all test procedures and complete quality documentation as needed for new and repair assemblies.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assembles machines and sub-assemblies based on the engineering specification, following all work instructions
- Prepares work to be accomplished by assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Verifies specifications by inspecting/measuring completed component as a part of the pre-assembly check
- Resolves assembly problems to meet specifications; notifying team lead to obtain additional resources
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; notify team lead for placing and expediting orders for supplies
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms neatly
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Assemble main and sub assembly in a timely manner to ensure it passes final test protocol as per quality documents
- Other duties as necessary
