POSITION: LTS CHINESE TEACHER
EFFECTIVE DATE: AUGUST 18, 2025, THROUGH JANUARY 23, 2026
LOCATION: PENNCREST HIGH SCHOOL
COMPENSATION: PER RTMEA CONTRACT
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree. Active and valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Chinese K-12. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Chinese language and culture, as well as experience working with high school students; ability to generate instruction to meet the needs of all learners; ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program; ability to plan and implement lessons based on district and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents; skill in oral and written communication.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear and sometimes walk and sit. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of students.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff. Subject to indoor work environment the majority of the time. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
