In Home Outreach Counselor

Summary:

The In-Home Outreach Counselor (IHOC) provides two main functions within the Family Preservation program. The first function is that they offer families in-home outreach counseling on a weekly basis. Secondly, are responsible for providing in depth case management services to ensure that families are adhering to the agreed upon service plan. Position carries an average caseload of 13 families, which are to be visited a minimum of once weekly, providing in-home outreach counseling.

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree from an accredited or State approved graduate school in Social Work (MSW) or related field of study.
• Or BA related plus must have at least two (2) related years’ experience in provision of direct services to low income and ethnically diverse clients.
• Or BA in Social Work or related field of study and currently enrolled in a Master’s Program.
• Bilingual Preferred (verbal skillset only).
• Must have a current valid California driver’s license and current automobile insurance. Must have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization’s insurance company. Must have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours.

Position Location: Lancaster, CA

Salary Range: $20.50 up to $27.00 per hour

Additional $1.00 per hour bilingual Spanish differential.
