Network Administrator III (WAN) TX

Position Title: Network Administrator III (WAN)

Location: Lackland Airforce Base, TX

Clearance level: TS/SCI Eligible

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Analyzes and simulates network traffic to aid in problem resolution or to test updated configurations in virtual or physical lab environments.
• Monitors system utilization and circuit bandwidth then reports anomalies to Government team leads.
• Develops, executes, modifies or removes scripts to assist in automation of tasks.
• Reviews and documents all workload activities per incident or change request to eliminate rework or for auditing/investigation purposes.
• Ability to work with a deep level of understanding/experience with enterprise level network architectures/configurations is required and Software Defined Networking (SDN) is desired.
• Notifies appropriate Information Technical Equipment Custodian (ITEC) or Property Custodian (PC), in writing, within 4 hours for all accountable item moves.
• Neatly bundle and conceal all excess system or peripheral cabling after each installation or repair.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 7 years’ experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching, and hardening routers, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches. Must have at least one of the following:
  • CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Service Provider.
• Must possess a Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

Desired Qualifications:

• One of the following is preferred:
  • CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, CCIE Service Provider, CCIE Data Center, CCIE Collaboration
