Opportunity
PeopleTec is currently seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.
PeopleTec is seeking an early to mid-career engineer able to think at a systems level who has a strong analytical background which includes systems integration, test, and development to support one of our Army aviation customers in Huntsville, Alabama.The candidate will be a member of a team supporting systems integration and demonstration of hardware and software intensive solutions which incorporate avionics, communication, navigation data analysis, and aircraft development. Familiarity with system test, avionic busses, computer networking, data distribution, modeling and simulation is desired.The ideal candidate will have skills in integration and test of complex software intensive computing systems applicable to laboratory and test environments.
Duties:
- Support systems, hardware, and software integration activities
- Aid in the development of test and demonstration plans and procedures
- Review software and systems development and test artifacts. Build, deploy, and operate software solutions
- Maintain individual and team knowledge of software architecture, computer networking, avionics, communications systems, and interoperability standards
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
- At least 3 years of related work experience in systems and software integration which includes design, implementation, and test
- Familiarity with avionics with emphasis on ARC-210, PRC-117G, MUOS, SNMP MIB
- Familiarity with communication standards with emphasis on MIL-STD1553, ARINC 429, ethernet/IP
- Familiarity with software development within Linux and Windows operating systems
- Track record of prioritizing and executing tasks
- Good written and verbal communication skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Travel: 10 %
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Education Requirements:
- Minimum of a B.S. in engineering or computer science.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with open systems and/or open software standards
- Familiarity with 3d modeling and printing toolsets
- Experience developing with software languages such as Python, MATLAB C#, Lisp, and Java
- Exposure to aircraft hardware connectivity utilities such as serial busses and cannon plugs
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and/or airworthiness
- Exposure to DevSecOps tools and platforms
