SUMMARY:
PepUp, an affiliate of Tri Gas & Oil Co. Inc., a mid-market wholesale supplier and transporter of propane and unbranded petroleum-based fuels, is in search of a professional energy consultant to fill an open position in our wholesale division that serves our trading area of Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prospect, develop, and secure new customer business within a multi-state region. Priority responsibility for the development of profitable propane and petroleum-based fuels.
- Work closely with management to collaboratively assist in the achievement of Tri Gas & Oil’s overall growth & profitability goals.
- Document and maintain accurate and timely CRM sales report data.
- Develop and maintain sales projections and other key performance measurement indicators as directed by management.
- Attend sales meetings, sales training, continuing education, and other related events and functions.
- Build and nurture prospective business customers in our distributor, dealer, and unbranded channels.
- Develop proposals and deliver presentations.
- Analyze and recommend adjustments to sales programs as competitive landscape changes.
- Interface with internal departments, Finance, Credit, Legal, Accounting, Marketing, etc., to build a profitable territory.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or technical discipline.
- 5 years Experience in energy sales.
- Previous sales manager or supervisory experience is a plus
- Solid skills in interpersonal communication, written and oral communication.
- Prioritizing tasks, responsiveness, negotiation, project management, personal office management, organizational techniques, and resourcefulness.
- Understanding of financial and accounting basics
- Experience and knowledge with software applications:
- Microsoft Office, Cargas, Axis: Price Management and Price Right, and Opus
- Knowledge in the retail/wholesale fuel business including:
- Supply Procurement, Dispatching, Logistics, Accounting
- Basic technical knowledge and understanding of fuel operations and related technologies.
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred:
- Experience with Salesforce application
- Propane and Natural Gas liquids experience preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and mobile devices. There is limited overnight travel to meet customers. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role. The employee will sit and or stand most of their shift, view computer screens, paperwork and filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open cabinets bending or standing, stoop, and pull, or kneel as necessary. The employee must occasionally pull, lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
