Position Summary - Key Responsibilities
- Compile and analyze inventories, COGS (sales basis), and manufacturing costs.
- Reconcile inventory from sub-ledgers to the G/L, including preparation of proper journal entries.
- Review and analyze inventory sub-ledgers and system linkages between GMS (inventory) and Oracle (financials).
- Assess internal controls related to inventory processes and report deficiencies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve inventory-related discrepancies.
- Perform statistical analyses to identify trends, variances, and provide narrative explanations.
- Reconcile inventory reserves and evaluate appropriateness.
- Conduct process improvement studies and recommend accounting enhancements.
