What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Perspectives Corporation?
The Maintenance Technician facilitates the general maintenance and repair/replacement of buildings, property furniture, fixtures, or equipment which includes mechanical, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, carpentry, and painting repair. Under general supervision of the Environmental, Transportation & Safety Coordinator, the technicianperforms a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of grounds, office facility and equipment. Performs related duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of machinery and tools, including uses, repair and maintenance
- Ability to operate power equipment such as mowers, tractors, electric clippers, and pruning saws. Ensure that all tools running at optimal performance
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what type of maintenance is needed
- Experience in light to medium carpentry
- Experience in routine electrical repair and installation
- Experience in plumbing repair
- Experience in installation of dishwashers, washers and dryers
- Able to perform general physical activities
- Must be able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, access to an insured vehicle, and a favorable driving record.
- Must have a favorable Criminal Background Check (BCI)
- Knowledge of computer operation and use of smart phone
