Custodian

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Duties

• Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
• Handle industrial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively to promote sustainability within the facility.
• Ensure restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies and maintained in a clean condition.
• Collaborate with team members to complete larger cleaning projects or special requests from management.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the shift.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
