JOB DESCRIPTION-JANITOR
Position: JANITOR
Classification Code: 9014
Reports to: Facility Shift Supervisor
I. JOB SUMMARY
The primary reason for, and the function of this position is to provide cleaning service to match the specifications of the contract with said client. Each contract will vary, and specific duties will be dictated by the site supervisor.
II. DUTIES:
1. EMPTY WASTE RECEPTACLES. DAMP WIPE AND REPLACE LINERS AS REQUIRED.
2. VACUUM ALL CARPETING.
3. DUST MOP TILE FLOORS TAKING CARE TO GET UNDER FURNITURE, INTO CORNERS AND ALL EDGES.
4. THOROUGHLY DUST ALL HORIZONTAL SURFACES, INCLUDING FILES, WINDOW SILLS, CHAIRS, TABLES, LEDGES, ETC.
5. REMOVE FINGERPRINTS AND SOIL FROM PARTITIONS AND DOORS.
6. ALL DRINKING FOUNTAINS WILL BE CLEANED, SANITIZED, AND KEPT FREE OF LIME.
7. SPOT CLEAN WALLS WHERE NEEDED.
8. SPOT CARPETS AS NEEDED.
9. STOCK THE INDIVIDUAL DISPENSERS WITH TOWELS, TISSUE, HANDSOAP, SEAT COVER DISPENSERS, AND ALL OTHER RESTROOM SUPPLIES.
10. CLEAN AND POLISH MIRRORS.
11. EMPTY AND SANITIZE NAPKIN DISPOSAL UNITS.
12. TOILET AND URINALS TO BE CLEANED AND DISINFECTED INSIDE AND OUT. POLISH BRIGHTWORK AND KEEP FREE OF LIME.
13. TOILET SEATS TO BE CLEANED AND SANITIZED ON BOTH SIDES.
14. SCOUR AND DISINFECT ALL BASINS, POLISH BRIGHTWORK.
15. DUST PARTITION TOPS, LEDGES, LOUVERS IN DOORS, EXHAUST GRILLS, TOPS OF MIRRORS, AND VANITY LIGHT.
16. REMOVE SPLASH MARK FROM WALLS AROUND WASH BASINS.
17. WET WIPE AND CLEAN TOWEL CABINET COVERS.
18. REMOVE FINGERPRINTS AND SOIL MARKS FROM STALL DOORS AND WALLS.
19. DAMP MOP RESTROOM FLOORS USING DISINFECTANT.
20. WASH ENTRANCE DOORS WHEN REQUIRED.
21. SOAP DISPENSERS WILL BE CLEANED AND FILLED NIGHTLY.
22. VACUUM.
23. PICK UP AND CLEAN UNDER ALL MATS.
24. VACUUM ALL MATTING.
25. SPOT CLEAN ALL CARPETS.
26. VACUUM ALL EDGES.
27. DUST LEDGES AND MOLDINGS.
28. CLEAN AND DISINFECT THE KITCHEN SINK MAKING SURE THAT ALL COFFEE STAINS ARE REMOVED.
29. DUST MOP AND DAMP MOP KITCHEN FLOOR.
30. WASH OUT ALL COFFEE POTS MAKING SURE THEY ARE READY FOR THE NEXT DAY.
31. REMOVE ALL GARBAGE.
32. CLEAN AND SANITIZE MICROWAVE.
33. CLEAN AND SANITIZE ALL COUNTER TOPS.
III. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. The job duties require an employee to bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
2. Must be able to lift at least 5 pounds frequently, at least 10 pounds occasionally, and up to 20 pounds infrequently.
3. Must be able to walk, stand, squat, and bend. Reasonable accommodations may be made to complete any job duty.
