The Technical University of Denmark (DTU), in collaboration with the EU Joint Research Centre (JRC), invites applications for a fully funded 3-year PhD position in Machine Learning for Scenario Discovery in Urban Mobility. This unique program offers the opportunity to conduct research at both DTU in Denmark and the JRC in Ispra, Italy.
Introduction
The selected candidate will work on innovative methods in machine learning, metamodeling, and causal representation applied to urban mobility. The research will utilize advanced simulation tools such as SimMobility and will be conducted in collaboration with leading experts from DTU and the European Commission.
Key Features
– Two years of research at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Ispra, Italy, and one year at DTU in Denmark

Requirements
– Master's degree (MSc) in Computer Science, Transport Modelling, Informatics Engineering, or a related field

– Eligibility restricted to EU nationals or long-term residents (minimum 5 years in the EU)
