What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher, Campus Safety position at Phillips Academy?
The Campus Safety Dispatcher will receive emergency and non-emergency telephone calls, monitor computerized alarm and access control systems, provide dispatch and radio communication management, administer campus vendor and visitor identification badges, provide in-person customer service and necessary clerical support for the department. Some tasks may be safety related and thus place a critical emphasis on successful outcomes. Schedule is Thursday – Sunday, 3pm-11pm, weekday evening and weekend hours. This is a full-time, 32 hour per week position which is eligible for full-time benefits.
Requirements: High School Diploma/GED, minimum of 1 year of experience, and willingness to become CPR certified, pass and maintain required certifications for alarm monitoring when required. Valid driver’s license, other relevant skills, training or experience desired. Computer proficiency, including: typing, and knowledge of or ability to learn computer aided dispatch system, alarm monitoring systems, access control system, identification badge system, and/or other technical systems as needed.
