POSITION SUMMARY: - Local to Arizona applicants only
The Leadership Giving Officer - Mid-Level Gifts works closely with the Sr. Director of Leadership Giving and Direct Response team to implement a program strategy and comprehensive cultivation and stewardship program for Phoenix Rescue Mission’s mid-level giving donors.
Additionally, this position will be responsible for implementing strategies that upgrade smaller sum donors to mid-level giving with the ultimate goal of building stronger mid and major level giving pipelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage a portfolio of 550-600 mid-level donors to deepen relationships and encourage increased giving through an innovative mid-level giving program and stewardship plan focused on retention-based philanthropy.
- Execute best practices around growing the mid-level pipeline by using a thoughtful stewardship plan.
- Maintain and execute a communication matrix including, but not limited to, all thank, ask, and impact reporting communications, as well as stewardship strategies.
- Assist with the development of engagement opportunities, marketing materials, and upgrading strategies specifically targeted to mid-level donors.
- Monitor and report on program priority metrics and goals.
- Collaborate with the Mid-Level Manager to develop strategies to identify and convert qualified mid-level donors into major gift portfolios.
- Meet donor retention and upgrade goals jointly established with the Mid-Level Manager.
- Ensure all donor data is accurate and all donor interactions are tracked in a timely manner in the donor database, Raiser’s Edge.
- Lead or participate in devotions, prayers or other organization activities that promote a credible Christian witness and lifestyle.
- Maintain ongoing professional development and keep current with industry best practices as necessary to support a robust mid-level giving program on behalf of Phoenix Rescue Mission.
- Travel locally to meet with donors as necessary up to 25% of the time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university OR a combination of education and experience in experience in fundraising, sales, or other transferable skills
- Minimum 2-3 years of practical experience in philanthropy and/or fundraising
- Experience with mid-level donor work a plus
- Proficiency with CRM donor database systems, such as Raiser’s Edge
- Non-profit development experience and/or knowledge of rescue missions is a plus

- Flexible schedule, position may require some weekend or evening responsibilities
- Must meet and maintain the requirements of being an approved driver and driving a personal vehicle on PRM business
