We are seeking a responsible and vigilant individual to join our team as a lifeguard for our summer camp program. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of campers and staff during all aquatic activities.

We are seeking a responsible and vigilant individual to join our team as a lifeguard for our summer camp program. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of campers and staff during all aquatic activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and clean swimming environment by enforcing all rules and regulations
- Keep constant surveillance of swimmers and be alert to any signs of distress or potential danger
- Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergency situations, including performing rescue and CPR if necessary
- Assist with swim lessons and activities as needed
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff regarding any safety concerns or incidents
- Document incident reports
- Maintain and clean all equipment used during aquatic activities
- Attend and participate in all required trainings and meetings
- Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized organization
- CPR, AED and First Aid certification
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Strong swimming skills and endurance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and respond quickly in emergency situations
- Experience working with children is preferred
Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
- New York, NY 10006: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
