La Mer Beachfront Resort and the Pier House are looking for talented Restaurant Floor Supervisors to join our team!
Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the Restaurant Floor Supervisor is to ensure efficient front of house operations, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily Front of the House & Back of the House restaurant operations
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Maintain quality controls and service standards of the restaurant and its employees
- Assist in the implementation of policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
- Supervise staff and relay any performance issues to the Restaurant Manager; provide feedback to improve productivity
- Ensure uniform and grooming standards are adhered to
- Oversee and maintain an efficient seating method, ensuring the timely seating of guests and well as the maximum utilization of all indoor and outdoor seating areas
- When needed, assist the Front of House staff with running food, retrieving drinks, etc.
- In season, coordinate the ordering, running and timely delivery of food and beverage to the pool and beach areas, ensuring the Pool and Beach F&B SOPs are being adhered to on a consistent basis
- Coordinate with the Chef to ensure the flow of food from the kitchen to the dining room is seamless and timed appropriately to ensure maximum efficiency
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Adhere to SOPs for cash banks, cash handling and nightly deposits in coordination with the Accounting department
- Responsible for the closing procedures and paperwork; including cash drops and server pay-outs
- Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
- Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- At least two (2) years of experience in a restaurant supervisor/manager position; fine dining is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, team building, and problem-solving skills are required
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks at once
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must have a working knowledge of POS systems
- Must have the ability to evaluate employee performance in a fair and consistent manner
- Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions with handling guest and or employee conflicts
- Ensure that guest satisfaction is consistently maintained and exceeded whenever possible
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations
- Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist and reach
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs as needed
- Must be able to have continuous use of hands and arms
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to heat, fumes and airborne particles
