Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative (PSR) is responsible for scheduling patient appointments for both established patients, and when appropriate, new patients. Such appointments may be by telephone or in-house.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Schedules patient appointments in a professional, businesslike and courteous manner in accordance with the Clinic and physician policies and procedures.
- Maintains and coordinates the physicians’ schedules, having a thorough knowledge of physician specialties and medical practices.
- Answers telephones and returns calls in a timely manner, taking messages, handling requests and providing accurate information as necessary.
- Handles mail, paperwork via fax, and medical records, assuring accuracy and completeness.
- Screens patients and visitors as needed.
- Assures patients are processed in a timely, courteous, and helpful manner.
- Collects patient fees as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:*
Education (Including Licenses and Certifications): High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: One to two year experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
