Client:
Our client is a prestigious and well-known University Endowment located in NYC. The investment team consists of four investment professionals and manages over $6 billion in capital, which is invested across a broadly diversified range of asset classes.
Opportunity:
This Investment Analyst will be part of a lean investment team and will report directly to an Investment Director or CIO. This individual will have exposure to a broad range of asset classes, which includes private equity, public equity, hedge, funds, and real assets.

Location: NYC
Responsibilities:
- Investment manager sourcing, screening, research, and ongoing due diligence
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of existing and prospective fund managers
- Participate in meetings with investment managers including occasional travel for onsite visits
- Assist with manager and portfolio-level reporting on performance, exposures, liquidity, and cash flows
- Research, prepare, and write investment memos to analyze the portfolio and outline market trends
- Review manager reports and letters
- Formulate a view on risks and opportunities related to particular investments
- Automate data analysis and workflow
- Assist with ad hoc special projects across the portfolio
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of full time experience (investment banking, consulting, direct investing, or asset allocation) with preferred knowledge of manager due diligence (Endowment, Foundation, Pension, Fund of Fund, Family Office, or Investment Advisory)
- Strong academic performance and a Bachelor’s degree
- Passion for investing and desire to understand the financial markets
- Self-starter, ability to work independently, prioritize projects, and collaborate with a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Commitment to the Endowment’s missions
- Strong financial modeling skills, general knowledge of portfolio theory, capital markets, and/or private equity
- CFA preferred but not required
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $112,500.00 to USD $137,500.00. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
