Qualifications
- Have completed at least 2 years of postsecondary study.
- Possess an Associate's Degree or higher.
- Experience working with young child with disabilities preferred.

Essential Job Functions
1. Assists with the administration of lesson plans and participates in IEP development.
2. Conducts small group instruction and provides classroom support.
3. Maintains a positive learning environment.
4. Collects student progress monitoring data.
5. Completes appropriate billing activities for Medical Assistance 1:1 services.
6. Engages in daily home/ school communication.
7. Utilizes computer or iPad as a student teaching tool and for program communication.
8. Assists with health needs including: toilet training, diapering, dressing, washing hands/face, meal time assistance, etc.
9. Participates in in-service trainings and workshops as necessary. 20 hours of PD related to Early Intervention, Early Childhood or Special Education is required yearly.
10. Works with a variety of classroom therapists, including Systems 1-2-3 behavior management consultants.
11. Provides positive behavior supports to individual children as well as entire classroom.
12. Possesses knowledge of and uses adaptive equipment and augmentative communication devices.
13. Carries/secures car seats (or seating vests) and children into vehicles.
14. Lifts children onto changing table to change diapers.
15. Engages in prolonged sitting to give hand over hand physical assistance to children.
16. Cleans and disinfects toys and equipment.
17. Communicated positively with others
18. Any other activities deemed necessary by Administration.

Additional Job Information
Physical Demands: This position is primarily sedentary in nature. Employee will be required to operate computer system for data entry, and have the ability to complete necessary paperwork. This position requires minimum physical effort and not subjected to Occupational Health and Safety risks.

2. Frequently required to work at fast pace
3. Requires considerable concentration and creativity.
