What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Workers for After School Program 2025-2026 position at Play Study Win, Inc?
The person selected for this position will be under direct supervision of the Site Director and the Program Director, you will be responsible for providing an appropriate safe, caring, and enriching environment for children enrolled in the Play Study Win programs.
Youth Workers are responsible for conducting themselves in an appropriate manner, setting the example for children, parents, and co-workers by reflecting the program core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. MUST BE 18 OR OLDER.
Essential Functions and Job Duties:
- Facilitate group participation in activities.
- Assist participants with academics and recreation.
- Plan age-appropriate activities.
- Assist in planning events, showcases or student presentations.
- Monitor participant’s behavior and report to staff.
- Instruct participants in the rules and regulations of games.
- Daily communication with the Program Director.
- Perform clean up duties every day.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
- Document student work for portfolios or program evaluations
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma, preferably a college student.
- At least 2 years of working experience in youth development.
- Knowledge of public school environment a plus.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate record of good attendance and punctuality.
- Must be fingerprinted and provide a medical clearance in order to work in school-age child care.
- MUST BE 18 OR OLDER. Applicants under 18 years of age will be immediately rejected.
Work Hours are between 2:00-6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
