Business Analyst

MAIN FUNCTION:

The Business Analyst serves as a primary interface between the business areas and IT, facilitating the alignment of business processes, rules, and strategies with IT designs and applications. To lead a wide range of projects and to translate business requirements into integrated system solutions. Collaborate with global business users and development teams to provide analysis and recommendations for scalable solutions, which contribute to company’s overall success and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 4 year technical degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• At least 5 to 8 years of IT and project management experience with a strong knowledge of the tools and techniques required to analyze, document, validate, and manage business requirements and IT systems and principles.
• At least 3 years of software development exposure in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior involvement in an ERP system implementation effort (Epicor ERP a Plus).
• Experience with EDI and related customer requirements.
• Solid understanding of IT Governance and best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft office programs (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Project, and Outlook/Teams).
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate in English.
• Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a faced paced environment.
• Experience with report generation and function SQL knowledge.
• Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse experience a plus.
• Must be a self-starter and can work independently as well as in groups.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Facilitate and lead cross functional teams of business, project managers, software developers, and end users to establish project scope and vision of request.
• Gather user requirements using various methods, including interviews.
• Identify project scope, establish a fully understanding, implement changes, and provide documentation.
• Schedule and participate in QA user acceptance testing, to ensure solution provided meets the business objective.
• Establish a working relationship with internal Subject Mater Experts to obtain maximum results for the company.
• Research, review, and analyze existing processes, develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
• Assist in conducting research of 3rd Party solutions to meet agreed upon requirements.
• Use standard templates for documenting project artifacts.
• Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and project team.
