Local Driver
Essential Duties and Accountabilities
Performs loading and unloading of company’s truck.
Drives to assigned destination, as per company’s logistic plan, for local delivery and pick-ups.
Responsible for auditing shipped items and matching them to packing slip.
Maintains the company truck, including but not limited to cleaning, mechanical revisions and conditions.
Performs loading and unloading. Also, receives, counts, and document orders.
Participates in inventory cycle count.
Responsible for assisting in the shipping and receiving area of production where needed when route is complete.
Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks.
Responsible for working according to the company’s safety and quality standards.
Maintains a safe and clean work area.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
▪ High School Diploma or its equivalent or combination of experience, training and/or education.
▪ Must have valid Driver’s License with no major violations.
▪ Experience in driving a 26’ box truck
▪ All drivers must be able to read and speak English well enough to understand road signs, prepare
reports, and communicate with law enforcement officers and the public.
▪ Spanish speaker is a plus.
▪ Able to work flexible schedule (weekends and holidays as needed)
▪ Must be authorized to work in the USA.
Physical Demands and Competencies
▪ Multi-limb Coordination, the ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two
legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing
the activities while the whole body is in motion.
▪ The ability to see details at close range and from the distance.
▪ Must have a strong sense of spatial relations to park their vehicles and negotiate tight spaces.
▪ The ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when
it appears
▪ The ability to use of ladders to reach high warehouse shelves.
▪ Required to utilize a back brace for support when lifting.
▪ Must be able to work in a warehouse under high temperatures and dusty environments.
