Responsibilities of this role
- Ensure HR files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and company policies / procedures
- Assist with preparation of recruitment ads and job postings in Applicant Tracking System, collect incoming applications and forward them through the recruitment process
- Assist with recruitment process which involves screening resumes, presenting applicants to hiring managers, conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews and sending pre-employment testing to applicants
- Handle processing of credit checks, bondability reports, and background checks, will issue pre-adverse and adverse action notices when applicable
- Inputnew hire information into HRIS databases,updateHRIS databases with various employee data, and completes I-9 forms and E-Verify for new hires
- Trackemployee PTO accrual and inputPTO into HRIS system,enters Floating Holiday accruals when applicable
- Conduct HR portion of New Hire Orientation monthly and as needed
- Placeorders including gifts, flowers, and name badges on behalf of the credit union for employees
- SupportHR Generalist with payroll processing, and serve as back-up for payroll
- Completemiscellaneous research, reports and memos as requested
- Assistthe department with projects such as benefit statements, compensationletters, and open enrollment for benefits
- Serveas a point of contact in the department for employee inquiries
- Ensurecompliance with Labor Law Postings (state and federal)
- Adhereto all credit union compliance requirements, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) guidelines andregulations as explained and as appropriate for the position
- Performother duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three years of similar or related experience
- Thorough understanding of HR functions, recordkeeping requirements
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information
- PC Proficient (Excel and Word)
- Excellent oral, written, presentation, and telephone communication skills
- Must be well organized, accurate and attentive to detail
