Compensation: Hourly
Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to work with all aspects of the Sheet Metal Department and perform quality checks to insure a quality product for our customer. This position is called upon to handle all Sheet metal activities, checking quality of product and packaging product for shipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for quality of product before final shipment
- Continuous improvement in support of department and company goals
- Supports, participates and encourages team building
- Provides feedback, both positive and negative, to the team, other related departments, and the supervisor
- Promotes a positive work environment
- To follow all of Porter Corps procedures and policies
- Work safely and efficiently

- This position requires a knowledge of basic sheet metal working methods to ensure a quality product is delivered to all customers
- Work requires a high school diploma or equivalent
Travel
This position requires minimal to no travel
Computer Skills
- Basic Computer skills
- Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems
Other Requirements
- Knowledge of Press Breaks, Shears and assorted hand tools
- Blueprint reading
- Very good interpersonal skills
- Must be open-minded to new ideas and concepts
- Possesses very good problem-solving skills
- Must be self-motivated and results oriented
Other Skills
- Safe and efficient packaging of finished goods to minimize damage
- Accuracy and completeness of packaged goods shipped to customer
