Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and a positive attitude, establishing an inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Manage reservations and walk-in seating efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize table turnover
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand, including managing waiting lists and guest wait times effectively
- Answer guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times or reservation details
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring every guest feels valued and cared for
- Support overall restaurant operations by communicating clearly with team members and maintaining a hospitable environment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a food service or restaurant setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in hotel or hospitality environments is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and guest services best practices
- Exceptional phone etiquette and guest relations skills to foster positive interactions at all times
