Job Summary
- This position is based out of our Clackamas Facility: 16800 SE Evelyn St
- The schedule for this position is: Tuesday to Saturday, 7am – 3:30pm
- Pay range starts at $19/ hour for entry level; wages are higher for candidates with prior experience
- Monthly bonuses equivalent of up to 6% of wages
- 3 weeks of paid time off to start
- 9 additional paid Holidays each year
The Material Handler is responsible for accurately entering all required receiving information into the existing ERP system. This position accurately moves materials both physically and in the existing ERP system to ensure location accuracy. The Material Handler also stages materials for the batching department in preparation for upcoming production jobs.
Essential Functions
- Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
- Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.
- Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.
- Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules. Computes amount of material required to complete job orders.
- Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials.
- Moves or transports materials from one department to another. Arranges for repair and assembly of material or part.
- Monitors and controls movement of material.
Experience and Education Requirements
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Communicate effectively and work across departments and with teams to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence
- Math Skills – the ability to add, subtract, multiply
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- 1 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on receiving
- 1 years of ERP experience
- 1 years if experience operating a forklift is required
- Prior certified forklift license is required, PBC can recertify
