Location Description:
The Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania facility is 1,120,845 square feet and home to about 470 hard working team members who are proud to produce iconic pet food brands like Kibbles 'n Bits® and 9Lives®. This location has a cannery that produces wet dog food and there is also a Distribution Center on-site. Bloomsburg is home to Bloomsburg University, a municipal airport, a landmark Town Park with many acres of recreational activities, and has one of the largest and longest running fairs in the country. Responsibilities:
The Crew Supervisor Role reports to and assists the the Shift Supervisor with day to day operation of the Bloomsburg Distribution Center.
Shift: 3rd shift, Thursday - Sunday, 10:50pm-7:00am
- Maintain product safety, quality, and legality for storage and distribution in accordance with PCB quality policy and standards.
- Assist with assignment of work and workorders including loading, unloading, and picking of product for customer orders.
- Assist shift supervisor with the daily operations of the shift.
- Setup of hourly employees at the beginning of each shift.
- Assist hourly employees with issues that come up during the daily operations in the DC.
- Assure all employees complete all work in a safe and quality manner, ensuring all policies, regulations and standards are followed.
- Running the shipping desk including assisting truck drivers with inbound and outbounds orders.
- Assure compliance to all quality standards, GMP and BRC requirements.
- Able to independently run the shift when the shift supervisor is off.
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Degree in Supply Chain, Management, or similar field preferred.
- 1-3 years of prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Excel a must.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication skills but verbal and written.
