Northfield, Minn. is home to two Post Consumer Brands manufacturing plants, the Campbell Mill and Ames Mill, two distribution centers, and more than 750 team members. The Campbell Mill plant is 1 million square feet and is home to 7 manufacturing technologies to produce a wide variety of cereal products our customers know and love. Northfield is a town steeped in history, featuring two colleges and the original Ames Mill where the Malt-O-Meal Company got its start.
Responsibilities:Post Consumer Brands has an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals, work well in a colaborative team setting, possessing skills performing mechanical taks utilizing basic hand tools, and strong attention to detail.
This full-time position is responsible for operating and monitoring the equipment on our packaging production lines. Our packaging team members operate equipment that packages our cereal in boxes and bags you see on store shelves!
In this position you will ensure that the line is running correctly while adhering to quality and safety standards. We are currently looking to fill several positions at our Northfield Manufacturing Campus.

Work Schedule: *Night Shift* 12-hour shifts beginning at 4, 4:30, or 5 pm (depending on business unit) following a 2-2-3 schedule (Week one: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on. Week two: 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off) resulting in built-in overtime pay and having every-other weekend off-work.
Pay Rate: $25/hour $1.50/hour shift differential in recognition of night shift
Job Activities & Duties
- Operate, monitor, and change all equipment in partnership with the packaging team by following company procedures to ensure it is running correctly
- Perform quality checks on finished product and packaging materials with documentation.
- Use basic hand tools to perform repairs and light maintenance on all related equipment.
- Record production data required for measuring waste, downtime or production efficiency, or other pertinent data as required
- Communicate with team members to stay up to date on important information, processes, issues, and concerns
- Participate in safety training and strictly follow safety policies, rules, and procedures
- Operate forklift on occasion to transport materials to designated area of production area
- Working with heavy equipment such as gun screw, dryer, ingredient mixer, airlocks, couplers, conveyors, blowers, etc
- Wet washing/deep cleaning with appropriate cleaning solutions
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues such as failing bearings, belts, motors, etc
- Keep work area clean and orderly, perform sanitation audits and develop action plans to correct problem areas
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on all related equipment
- Record production data required for measuring waste, downtime or production efficiency
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Skills & Abilities:
- Technical skills are preferred but not required
- Ability to learn the operation of a wide range of packaging equipment
- Ability to use basic hand tools
