Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standard of nutritional care for our residents and patients. Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating all aspects of nutrition care, including menu planning, calculating specialized diets, and providing nutritional supplements as needed.
- Conducting nutritional evaluations and assessments for residents and patients to meet individual needs.
- Educating and counseling residents, patients, and families on nutrition and dietary plans.
- Collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to connect patients with nutrition resources.
- Monitoring and updating care plans as patient goals and medical needs evolve.
- Communicating findings and recommendations effectively with physicians and rehabilitation team members.
- Ensuring compliance with Indiana state regulations and long-term care facility standards related to food handling and care.
- Leading informal and formal feedback efforts, including menu and meal satisfaction surveys.
