We’re seeking a Construction Manager with expertise in medium-voltage (MV) distribution system construction to manage the downstream buildout from a utility substation to the point of service. This role requires hands-on leadership, schedule management, and technical oversight for MV switchgear, duct banks, terminations, and electrical infrastructure.

We’re seeking a Construction Manager with expertise in medium-voltage (MV) distribution system construction to manage the downstream buildout from a utility substation to the point of service. This role requires hands-on leadership, schedule management, and technical oversight for MV switchgear, duct banks, terminations, and electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the installation of MV switchgear, feeders, duct banks, manholes, and electrical building infrastructure.
- Lead daily field operations, subcontractor coordination, and safety compliance for MV distribution systems.
- Ensure accurate execution of cable terminations, testing, and commissioning prep.
- Coordinate with engineers, commissioning agents, and utility personnel for downstream cutovers and energization.
- Identify schedule risks and recommend adjustments to maintain or accelerate project timelines.
- Track construction progress and prepare daily logs, RFI responses, and punchlists.
- 8 years’ experience managing MV electrical distribution construction (5kV–35kV systems).
- Strong understanding of switchgear, cable routing, terminations, and grounding.
- Experience with building power distribution systems, electrical rooms, and prefabricated power centers.
- OSHA 30 certification; utility and NETA project exposure preferred.
- Ability to interpret electrical one-lines, conduit schedules, and civil utility layouts.
- Familiarity with commissioning workflows and energization procedures.
