Position Overview:
As the Engagement Specialist, you’ll be the face of JayPrehistoric and The Reptile Zoo across social media platforms. Your creativity, communication skills, and passion for animals will be key in building and nurturing vibrant online communities. From interacting with fans to creating compelling behind-the-scenes content, you'll play a crucial role in driving engagement and expanding our digital reach. Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Engagement:
- Fan Interaction: Actively engage with our communities on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter). Respond to comments, answer questions, and spark meaningful conversations.
- Engagement Strategy: Encourage interaction by liking, commenting on, and sharing fan-generated content that reflects our brand values.
- Community Growth: Develop and execute strategies to grow our online following, boost engagement, and build long-term loyalty among fans.
Administrative and Reporting:
- Weekly Reporting: Maintain and update engagement metrics in weekly reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Insight Summaries: Provide feedback on trends, fan interactions, and emerging patterns to inform broader marketing strategies.
- Support Analytics: Assist in tracking social media performance, sales data, and other KPIs to help the team measure and refine success.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in social media management or community engagement, preferably for brand-focused or content-driven platforms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a friendly, approachable tone.
- A genuine passion for animals—especially reptiles—and the ability to share that enthusiasm in engaging ways.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, including engagement, content creation, and reporting.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms, engagement tools, and analytics, with a solid understanding of best practices and trends.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
