Price Benowitz, LLP is looking to add a full-time Washington D.C. Nurse Paralegal to join its growing team at their Washington, DC headquarters. The Nurse Paralegal focuses on assisting the attorneys by obtaining, evaluating, and summarizing medical records, preparing medical chronologies, and managing a large caseload.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Obtain, review, analyze, and summarize medical records and other pertinent medical and legal documents related to medical facts within the case.
- Prepare medical summaries and chronologies.
- Research, evaluate, and retain medical experts.
- Coordinate appointments, including all correspondence and logistics necessary; keeping calendars up-to-date for all involved parties
- Support attorneys during trial by preparing documents, fact checking, preparing evidence for presentation and track case developments; research and compile information to help strengthen cases.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- RN, LPN, or comparable nursing experience (required).
- 3 years of paralegal and/or legal assistant experience.
- Proficiency in computer technology used in an office environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with lawyers, executives, and clients.
- Initiative, critical thinking mindset, and problem-solving skills.
