Certified Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility based in Bonita Springs FL 34135

This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Bonita Springs FL 34135

Schedule: Tuesday-Friday / 6:00 am to 3:00 pm with Saturday rotations 6am-10am NO OVERTIME

Pay Range: $17-$19.30Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume

Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens (blood, urine, fecal) as required.
• Explain specimen collection process to patients clearly and courteously.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes for accuracy.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as needed.
• Review and confirm physician orders and test requisitions.
• Ensure 100% accuracy when checking specimen labels and requisitions.
• Update patient information in the system.
• Record maintenance and decontamination activities.
• Store specimens according to required conditions and temperature.
• Package specimens for transport to the lab.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• THREE years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
