PrideStaff Financial has partnered with a well-established organization in Irving, Texas that is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist.
This hybrid position offers flexibility along with the chance to contribute to a collaborative accounting team that values accuracy, reliability, and mutual support.
This role is well-suited for an AP professional who enjoys working independently, staying organized, and keeping processes moving smoothly while supporting both vendors and internal teams.
Pay Rate: Up to $25–$26 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Hybrid (mix of onsite and remote work)
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Reviewing payment activity and researching open or past-due invoices
- Serving as a point of contact for vendor and internal questions via phone and email
- Assisting with supplier onboarding and maintenance, including tax documentation
- Entering invoices and confirming required approvals and backup are in place
- Checking invoices and payment requests for completeness and accuracy
- Supporting scheduled payment cycles, including daily and monthly processing
- Handling payment adjustments, reversals, and returned transactions when needed
- Monitoring electronic payment platforms and assisting with reconciliations
- Reviewing employee expense reimbursements for policy compliance
- Supporting Unclaimed Property filings and tracking recoveries
- Handling incoming department mail and distributing items appropriately
- Organizing, scanning, and maintaining AP documentation and records
- Preparing checks for distribution
- Assisting with audit requests by gathering supporting documentation
- Maintaining records in accordance with retention guidelines
- Providing general support to the AP team as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 1–5 years of hands-on experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable environment
- Strong attention to detail and comfort following established processes
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
- Clear, professional communication skills and a service-oriented approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Previous customer service or call center experience is a plus
