Primary Eyecare Center is looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong communication skills and a customer service and/or retail background to join our team. As an Optometric Assistant you would play an integral role in delivering an exceptional experience to our patients. Must be able to work in San Luis Obispo for vacations and sick coverage.
MUST TAKE ASSESSMENT TESTS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE JOB!
Duties include but not limited to:
- Assisting patients in selecting frames and lenses
- Dispensing, adjusting and repairing eyewear
- Processing and calculating orders, billing insurance
- Comfortable talking to patients about costs of eyewear
- Training patients with contact lens insertion
- Answering phones and assisting doctors with patients' needs
Desired Qualifications:
- Customer service background
- Have an eye for fashion
- High level of initiative and works well in a team environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer literate

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
