Primary Health Medical Group is seeking qualified applicants for a Medical Assistant/LPN/RN to work in our busy Family Practice Clinics. As an employee, you will receive customized orientation and training to help you be successful in your new role as well as learning opportunities to continue to grow in your skills. The Family Practice position is uniquely centered on relationships, from developing a working relationship with the Family Practice provider to building relationships with patients while aiding in providing an excellent patient experience. Family Practice staff typically have a set schedule with weekends off and do not take monthly call shifts.

Schedule: Monday- Thursday 8 am- 5 pm (Family Practice, Mark Michaud, M.D.)

Responsibilities:
- Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician, which could include casting, bracing, and injections
- Provides clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment
- Prepare basic laboratory tests on premises and prepares laboratory specimens
- Perform Phlebotomy involved with proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages
- Administer adult and childhood vaccines and wellness exams
- Observe disease improvement and help manage chronic conditions
- Help patients navigate the healthcare system, providing one-on-one education, and participating in the patient’s health care plan
- Assist with special procedures not offered in the Urgent Care, i.e. IUD’s, Nexplanon, biopsies, diabetic foot care, sleep studies, Cologuards and circumcisions
- Assist back office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and customer service
- Provide quality customer service and patient education based on assessment of needs
- Performs tests and procedures as ordered
- Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed
- Relay provider instruction to patients
- Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking room, scanning records, mailing, etc.)
- Aids in identifying methods of improving patient care
- Assist Front Office Staff in managing details of patients, schedule and referrals
- Assists or leads in emergency situations
- Maintains confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e. HIPAA
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistants will have certificate of completion from a nationally accredited program. LPN’s and RN’s must have a current license from the Idaho Board of Nursing.
- Venipuncture skills are required
- Previous clinical experience preferred
- Customer service oriented attitude/behavior
- Computer proficiency is required and ability to use applicable software as required performing the essential functions of the job
- Required vaccines to include COVID-19, annual Influenza, Hep B, TDaP, and TB.
